Lukács Bodoky

PhD Student
Novel SEM column

I am Lukács, and I come from Budapest, Hungary. I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. After working for two years at a semiconductor metrology company, I decided to pursue my own research interests and start a PhD. Fortunately, I came across the opportunity to join “The Gheidari Lab” at TU Delft, where I am working on designing an electron microscope (EM) column unlike anything before. We named it ExtrEM to reflect the extreme parameters it is intended to reach.

Although my background was originally in light optics, thanks to Ali’s supervision, patience, and our many discussions, I can say that I am now fully converted to the world of electron optics. Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing squash, riding my cool purple bike, and occasionally (especially on Fridays) enjoying a nice beer with colleagues downstairs at the faculty bar.
